Kit contains everything you need (except knitting needles) to create a cozy pair of warm, durable Shetland wool socks. Socks are knit from Goat Knoll Shetland wool blend sock yarn which is 70% Shetland wool and 30% nylon. The yarn is handspun from the sheep on our farm. The nylon has been added to provide additional strength to the sock so that it will handle the abrasion given to our beloved hand knit socks by our feet and shoes. Kit contains 250 yards of sock monkey gray yarn, 100 yards of white and 5 yards of red for those cute little heels. Socks are knit on size 2 (2.75 mm) double-point knitting needles. Socks will fit a size 7-8 lady's foot, however instructions are included (and extra yarn) to make them a bit larger if required. You'll have to get your own sock money. This one is mine, all mine.
