You won't need to cut up socks to make this little guy. Included is everything you need (except knitting needles and 3-4 hours) to knit your own special mini-monkey. Kit contains detailed instructions (pattern by Linda Fox) and Goat Knoll Shetland wool blend yarn (25 yds sock monkey gray, 12 yds white and 1 yd red), wool stuffing, pipe cleaners for making bendable appendages, button eyes and a red ribbon for his neck. However, it's winter and his little neck will be cold, so cashmere yarn is also included for making him a tiny toasty scarf. Monkey body is knit in the round using US size 3 double-point knitting needles. Appendages are created using knitted I-cord. The nose and the tush are made by creating miniature sock heels. You'll have almost as much fun making him as you do playing with him when you're done. Warning: unless you are comfortable knitting socks or very persistent, this pattern may be difficult.
